How can we listen differently and challenge dominant ways of seeing?

Tuning-In: Other Ways of Seeing was an intensive ten-day participatory art workshop that took place in Livingstone, Zambia. The workshop explored alternative and Indigenous ways of thinking with a group of emerging Zambian artists. giving them tools to create a series of podcasts rethinking Zambia’s contemporary life. Through individual and collective exercises guided by Romeo Gongora and Anawana Haloba, the participants explored how to conceptualise, produce, and broadcast a podcast.

Contributing voices

In this participatory art project, each podcast was conceptualized and produced by the participants with the support of Romeo Gongora and Anawana Haloba. The credits for each podcast, along with details on participants’ contributions, can be accessed through the link above. The workshop was initiated by Anawana Haloba, while Romeo Gongora contributed by conceptualizing, organizing, and facilitating the sessions in collaboration with her. The event was photo-documented by Romeo Gongora with the consent of all participants.
